During my shift, 6-12-26 I noticed something else I had forgotten to mention. Susan went to the kitchen, came back with an extra‑large dark‑colored drink, and set it on the counter behind the cash stand. I asked her, “Oh, are we allowed to have those up here now?” She said, “No, I’m taking it back to the back.”
But here’s the real issue: did she pay for that drink? From where I was standing, it looked like the only shoplifter in the store today might have been another employee. I’m also wondering whether certain employees are allowed to have complimentary restaurant drinks during their shift, or if this is against policy. Right now, it feels like I witnessed something that shouldn’t be happening. I will have to report this to the retail manager next time I see her.
