The Eternal Utopia: Trusting the Father of Lights

Imagine a place where sorrow is a memory, light never fades, and love is the atmosphere. Scripture calls it the New Jerusalem—a radiant city descending from heaven, prepared by the Father of Lights for those who trust Him. It’s not just a destination; it’s the fulfillment of every longing.

๐ŸŒˆ A City That Comes Down

Revelation 21:2–4 describes this holy city:

“I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God… He will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

This isn’t escapism—it’s divine reality. A place where death is defeated, and every wound is healed. The city doesn’t rise from human effort; it descends from divine mercy.

๐Ÿพ A Dog Trainer’s Glimpse of Heaven

In dog training, trust is everything. A puppy doesn’t understand the full plan—you ask them to sit, stay, come. They obey not because they grasp the outcome, but because they trust your voice. And when they do, they’re rewarded—not just with treats, but with joy, praise, and deeper connection.

That’s how the Father of Lights trains us. James 1:17 says:

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights…”

He doesn’t change like shifting shadows. His commands are consistent, His rewards eternal. When we respond to His voice—even without seeing the full picture—we’re walking toward the reward He’s prepared.

๐Ÿ’ก Light That Never Goes Out

Revelation 22:5 promises:

“There will be no more night… for the Lord God will give them light.”

Just as a well-trained dog rests peacefully at their master’s feet, knowing they’re safe and loved, we too will rest in the light of God’s presence. No fear. No confusion. Just perfect peace.

๐Ÿก A Place Prepared

Jesus said in John 14:2–3:

“In my Father’s house are many rooms… I go to prepare a place for you.”

This is the ultimate reward—not a treat, but a home. Not a temporary fix, but eternal fellowship. Like a dog who’s been adopted into a loving family, we’re not just trained—we’re cherished.

✨ The Final Recall

1 Thessalonians 4:17 says:
“And so we will be with the Lord forever.”
The final recall isn’t a command—it’s a reunion. When the Father calls us home, we’ll run without hesitation, tails wagging in spirit, hearts full of joy. Because we know the One who calls is good.

This is the utopia God spoke of—a city not built by human hands but descending from heaven, radiant with God’s glory. It’s not just a place; it’s the fulfillment of every longing.

The Shift and the Shake: Discerning Spirit in the Workplace

๐Ÿ›️ Retail Rhythms and Reflections: A Shift to Remember

Today’s shift pulsed with more energy than usual. The traffic is picking up, and you can feel it in the air—guests flowing in, tasks stacking up, and the rhythm of retail humming along. For most of the morning, everything moved in harmony. The team was aligned, the flow was smooth, and even the unpredictable moments felt manageable.

๐ŸŒŸ Leading with Grace

K, our cashier, seemed to take the lead today. She handled the shift with a calm presence—no overbearing tones, no unnecessary critiques. E, another cashier, worked alongside her, and from what I observed, the dynamic was respectful and steady. It’s always a relief when leadership feels natural and not forced.

A new face joined us on the floor today. She clocked in and went straight to work, though I wasn’t sure of her training level yet. Still, she blended in quietly, and I appreciated her willingness to jump in.

⏰ Clocking Out or Chaos?

As my shift neared its end, I assessed the coverage: K and E were both on truck duties, the new girl was present, and the retail manager had just arrived. Historically, having this many people on the clock at once is rare—they’re mindful of hours. So I did my report, prepared to clock out, and kept my radio on just in case.

That’s when a guest asked for help with ring sizing. I assisted her graciously, explaining I was off the clock but that others were available to help. No one was at the cash stand at that moment, and that’s when the tension began to rise.

๐Ÿšจ The Line Forms, the Pressure Builds

Suddenly, a line of guests emerged from the dining room—four or five all at once. I knew I had to act fast. I called for K to return to the cash stand. The retail manager, now visible, told me to wait until K was clocked in. But K had already clocked in—she told me so just before I left.

I wasn’t trying to abandon the team. I was watching, ready to call for help, and I did. I even asked the new girl if she could jump in. But before she could respond, the retail manager rushed past us, shaking her head in what felt like disapproval. Her body language said it all: “Why did you leave?”

๐Ÿงญ Navigating Mixed Signals

K was in the backroom helping with a garment size. I relayed her message to the guest, then tried to get my pocket pat down. Retail manager was busy, so I asked B, the restaurant manager. She did the pat but didn’t sign the form. I followed up, but she declined. It was a busy day for all of us.

The confusion stemmed from mixed expectations. In the past, I’ve been clocked out by leadership without warning. So I assumed that with four people on the clock, it was safe to leave. But today, that assumption led to tension.

๐ŸŒ€ When the Rhythm Breaks

The retail manager’s arrival shifted the energy. Before she came, the team was flowing. Afterward, anxiety crept in. I don’t blame her—everyone has their own battles before walking through those doors. It takes a moment to transition from personal life to retail life. But when the rhythm breaks, it’s felt by everyone.

๐Ÿงผ A Small Victory

On a lighter note, the kitchen floor is cleaner than it was ten years ago. Back then, walking back there felt like skating on ice. Today, no slips, no slides—just solid ground. A small but meaningful improvement.

๐Ÿ“ž Missed Signals and Silent Moments

There were moments today when B, the restaurant manager, didn’t seem to have her radio on. I noticed it each time I saw her—no radio, no response. Two calls came through that I tried to relay to her. One was from another retail worker, the other about a wine order. I repeated the message several times over the radio, but no answer came.

I was busy assisting guests during both calls, doing my best to juggle service and communication. By the time I was free to follow up, both callers had hung up.

It reminded me of how often we try to send messages—through radios, through words, through gestures—and they go unheard. Sometimes it’s not neglect, just timing. Sometimes it’s not resistance, just distraction. And sometimes, it’s a spiritual nudge to pause and ask: Am I tuned in to the right frequency?

In retail, as in life, we’re all trying to connect. But connection requires presence. And presence requires stillness, even in the rush.

Overcomers Will Inherit All Things

All Things New: A Devotional Reflection on Revelation 21

“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men…” These words echo like a promise fulfilled. In Revelation 21, we glimpse the final chapter of God’s redemptive story—a vision not of destruction, but of restoration. It’s the moment when heaven touches earth, and God dwells fully with His people.

๐Ÿ•Š️ A Place of No More Tears

Verse 4 offers one of the most comforting promises in all of Scripture: “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes…” This isn’t a distant hope—it’s a personal touch. The Creator Himself tending to our wounds, silencing sorrow, and ending pain. For those who’ve walked through grief, loss, or loneliness, this verse is a balm. The former things—death, crying, pain—will pass away. And in their place: peace.

๐Ÿ”„ The God Who Makes All Things New

“Behold, I make all things new.” This isn’t just about heaven someday—it’s about transformation now. God is in the business of renewal. Broken hearts, weary spirits, fractured relationships—He makes them new. Not patched up, but re-created. As believers, we live in the tension of the “already” and the “not yet,” tasting glimpses of this renewal even now.

๐Ÿ’ง The Invitation to the Thirsty

“I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.” God’s invitation is open. No cost, no prerequisites—just thirst. If you’re longing for peace, purpose, or healing, come. The water of life flows freely. This is grace: undeserved, unearned, and abundant.

๐Ÿ›ก️ The Call to Overcome

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things…” Overcoming isn’t about perfection—it’s about perseverance. Clinging to faith when it’s hard. Trusting God when the path is unclear. The reward? Inheritance. Identity. Intimacy. “I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” This is covenant language—deep, eternal belonging.

๐Ÿ’” A Sobering Reminder

Verse 8 reminds us that not all choose this path. It’s a call to examine our hearts, to turn from fear and unbelief, and to embrace the truth. God’s justice is real, but so is His mercy. The invitation still stands.

๐Ÿ’ The Bride Revealed

Finally, the angel says, “Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” This is the Church—radiant, redeemed, ready. Not because of our works, but because of His grace. We are the bride, prepared for eternal union with Christ.

๐ŸŒธ Reflection Questions:

  • What “former things” do you need to release today?

  • Where are you thirsting for renewal?

  • How can you live as one who overcomes?

May this passage remind you that your story is part of a much bigger one—a story of redemption, renewal, and reunion. God is making all things new, and you are invited to be part of it.

“Triple Alarm Faith: When You’re Determined to Rise”

When Technology Sleeps In: My Triple Alarm Wake-Up Call

This morning, I woke up two hours late. Not because I overslept on purpose, but because my trusty phone—my usual alarm—decided to take a break from its duties. No buzz, no bark, no wake-up call. Just silence until 7:00 a.m.

Now, I’m not one to let a hiccup like that derail my commitment. I’ve got an early morning shift tomorrow, and I intend to be there on time. So today became a mission: Operation Wake-Up Reinforcement.

The Alarm Army Assembles

First, I ordered a battery-operated alarm clock from Walmart, scheduled to arrive with my groceries at 4:00 p.m. This little device is advertised to be so loud it could wake the dead—or at least shake me out of my deepest sleep.

Second, I dug through drawers and closets searching for my old RCA electric alarm clock. It took three hours of trial and error to figure out how to set the time and alarm again. It’s probably over a decade old and may have failed me before, but I gave it a second chance.

Third, I’m still using my phone alarm. Despite its betrayal this morning, I’m not ready to give up on it entirely. Maybe I just missed the dog’s bark that usually accompanies its ring.

So tomorrow morning, I’ll have three alarms going off at once. If all goes according to plan, I’ll leap out of bed like a startled cat, possibly send the bed crashing to the floor, and emerge victorious—on time and uninjured.

A Lesson in Preparedness (and Grace)

Technology is a gift, but it’s also a reminder: don’t take anything for granted. Even the most reliable tools can falter. That’s why we prepare, we adapt, and we keep showing up.

I believe God honors our determination. He sees the effort behind the scenes—the alarms, the grocery orders, the dusty RCA clock—and He smiles at our persistence. Sometimes, the spiritual wake-up call comes wrapped in a practical one.

My Body’s Cry for a Walk

Amid all this alarm drama, I had hoped to take a walk today. My body is starving for fresh air and movement. There’s something sacred about walking outdoors, letting creation speak peace into our busy lives. I may not have made it today, but tomorrow’s another chance.

Scripture Reflection: Awake, O Sleeper

“Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” — Ephesians 5:14 (ESV)

Sometimes, it takes a failed alarm—or three—to remind us that waking up isn’t just physical. It’s spiritual. Each morning is a fresh invitation to rise with purpose, to shake off yesterday’s fatigue, and to step into the light of Christ’s presence.

Whether it’s a phone, a barking dog, or a battery-powered buzzer that gets us out of bed, the true wake-up call comes from within. It’s the Spirit nudging us: “Get up, child. I’ve got something for you today.”

So tomorrow, when all my alarms go off in glorious harmony, I’ll smile through the chaos. Because I’m not just waking up—I’m rising to meet the day with faith, readiness, and a heart that says, “Here I am, Lord.”

“How to Create a Relaxing Holiday Environment That Honors the Spirit of Christmas in a Retail Shop

Can we have a suggestion box blog post?

“Faith Over Frenzy: A Christian Reflection on Christmas Shopping Atmosphere”

“How to Create a Relaxing Holiday Environment That Honors the Spirit of Christmas”

“Why Gentle Overhead Christmas Music Can Transform Your Holiday Shopping Experience”

๐ŸŽ„ Creating Calm in the Christmas Clamor: A Faith-Based Reflection on Holiday Retail Atmosphere

As someone who works both in ministry and in the marketplace, I often find myself reflecting on how our environments shape the way people feel—especially during the holidays. Recently, while working in a retail setting, I noticed something that many guests commented on: the overwhelming noise of dozens of decorative Christmas boxes, each playing a different tune at the same time.

One woman, clearly distressed, said, “I think I might faint. How do you stand that all day?”

Her words stuck with me. And they made me wonder: What kind of Christmas shopping atmosphere are we really creating?

The Problem with Competing Christmas Tunes

These “pretty boxes” are meant to attract attention, but when they all sing at once, the result is a chaotic soundscape. Instead of drawing shoppers in, it often drives them away. Guests can’t discern one melody from another, and the joyful noise becomes just... noise.

From a holiday retail experience perspective, this sensory overload can be more stressful than festive. And from a spiritual standpoint, it feels like we’re missing the heart of the season entirely.

A Simple Solution: Turn Down the Noise, Turn Up the Peace

What if we tried something different this year?

  • Turn off the decorative music boxes until a guest chooses to engage with one.

  • Play gentle overhead Christmas music—instrumentals, carols, or sacred hymns that invite peace and reflection "closer to the Christmas season perhaps."

  • Create a relaxing holiday environment that honors the spirit of the season.

This small shift could transform the shopping experience. Instead of chaos, we offer calm. Instead of clamor, we offer clarity. And in doing so, we might just encourage more meaningful engagement with the gifts and decorations we’re offering.

Honoring the Season, Not Rushing It

Another concern I’ve heard—and share—is how early Christmas merchandise appears. While I understand the business side of early displays, I believe we can still honor the rhythm of the seasons. Let’s celebrate Thanksgiving with gratitude before rushing into tinsel and trees.

When Christmas does arrive, let’s welcome it with reverence. Let’s create a faith-based holiday reflection space where shoppers feel not only inspired to buy, but also invited to breathe.

A Higher-Class Holiday Experience

There’s something elegant about simplicity. A store filled with soft, sacred music and thoughtfully curated displays feels more like a boutique than a bargain bin. It elevates the experience. It says, “We care about your peace, not just your purchase.”

And in the end, that might be what encourages people to linger, to shop, and to give generously.

Let’s make room for peace this Christmas. Not just in our homes and hearts, but in our stores and soundscapes too.

“Voices from Beyond: Discerning Divine Prophecy from Forbidden Soothsaying”

๐Ÿ•Š️ Truth or Trickery: Soothsaying vs. Prophecy in Scripture

In a world filled with horoscopes, fortune-tellers, and spiritual influencers, it’s more important than ever for believers to understand the difference between biblical prophecy and soothsaying. While both claim to reveal the future, Scripture draws a clear line between divine truth and deceptive practices.

๐Ÿ”ฎ What Is Soothsaying in the Bible?

Soothsaying refers to the practice of predicting future events through mystical or occult means—such as astrology, divination, or consulting spirits. In the Bible, soothsaying is consistently condemned as a form of rebellion against God.

๐Ÿšซ Verses That Warn Against Soothsaying:

  • Leviticus 19:26 – “Do not practice divination or soothsaying.”

  • Deuteronomy 18:10–12 – Soothsayers are listed among those who do “detestable things.”

  • Micah 5:12 – “I will destroy your witchcraft and you will no longer cast spells.”

  • Isaiah 2:6 – Israel is rebuked for adopting superstitions and divination.

  • Acts 16:16–18 – Paul casts out a spirit of divination from a fortune-telling slave girl.

These verses make it clear: soothsaying in the Bible is not a harmless curiosity—it’s a counterfeit source of guidance that leads people away from God.

๐Ÿ—ฃ️ What Is Biblical Prophecy?

Prophecy, on the other hand, is a sacred gift. Prophets are chosen by God to speak truth, call people to repentance, and reveal His divine will. Unlike soothsayers, prophets don’t manipulate signs—they receive visions, dreams, or direct words from the Holy Spirit.

✨ Verses That Affirm True Prophecy:

  • 2 Peter 1:21 – “Prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets… spoke from God.”

  • Jeremiah 1:5–9 – God appoints Jeremiah and puts His words in his mouth.

  • Amos 3:7 – “The Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.”

  • 1 Corinthians 14:3 – Prophecy strengthens, encourages, and comforts.

  • Revelation 19:10 – “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

⚔️ Soothsaying vs. Prophecy: A Biblical Comparison

๐Ÿงญ Christian Discernment in Today’s World

As believers, we’re called to discern spiritual truth from deception. Whether it’s a viral TikTok “prophet” or a horoscope app promising insight, we must test every spirit (1 John 4:1) and anchor ourselves in Scripture.

If you’re teaching others—whether through dog training metaphors, blog posts, or podcasts—this contrast between false prophets and true messengers of God is a powerful lesson. It reminds us that not all who speak of the future speak from the Father.

๐Ÿ•Š️ Devotional Reflection: Whose Voice Do You Trust?

In a noisy world filled with predictions, influencers, and spiritual shortcuts, the question isn’t just what’s being said—it’s who’s speaking. Scripture reminds us that not every voice claiming insight is from God. Some whisper comfort, others stir fear, but only one voice leads to truth, peace, and life.

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” — John 10:27

Soothsayers offer signs and secrets, often cloaked in mystery or charm. But their source is not the Shepherd. Their words may soothe the moment, but they cannot anchor the soul. True prophecy, however, flows from the heart of God. It convicts, comforts, and calls us closer to Him.

Today, pause and ask: Am I seeking answers, or am I seeking God? Am I drawn to signs, or am I grounded in Scripture?

Let the Holy Spirit be your guide. Test every word. Hold fast to what is good. And when confusion rises, return to the One who never speaks in riddles—only in love and truth.

Prayer: Lord, help me discern Your voice amid the noise. Guard my heart from deception and draw me into deeper trust. May I hunger not for signs, but for Your presence. Speak, Lord—I am listening.

๐Ÿ“• Verses Condemning Soothsaying and Divination

  1. Leviticus 19:26 – “Do not practice divination or soothsaying.”

  2. Deuteronomy 18:10–12 – Lists soothsayers, diviners, and spiritists as detestable to the Lord.

  3. Micah 5:12 – “I will destroy your witchcraft and you will no longer cast spells.”

  4. Isaiah 2:6 – Condemns Israel for being “full of superstitions from the East” and practicing divination.

  5. Daniel 2:27 – Daniel says that no wise man, enchanter, magician, or diviner can explain the king’s mystery—but God can.

  6. Acts 16:16–18 – Paul casts out a spirit of divination from a slave girl who was a fortune-teller.

๐Ÿ“– Verses Affirming True Prophecy

  1. 2 Peter 1:21 – “Prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets… spoke from God.”

  2. Jeremiah 1:5–9 – God appoints Jeremiah as a prophet and puts His words in his mouth.

  3. Amos 3:7 – “Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.”

  4. 1 Corinthians 14:3 – Prophecy is for strengthening, encouragement, and comfort.

  5. Deuteronomy 18:18–22 – God promises to raise up a prophet like Moses and gives a test for true prophecy.

  6. Revelation 19:10 – “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Balancing Home, Work, and Heaven’s Call: A Holy Ghost Seer’s Reflection

๐ŸŒ… Workplace 2025: A New Day, A New Revelation

I have awakened to a new day—praise God for His guidance through the Holy Ghost. Though I went to bed later than usual after a full day of faith and creativity, my spirit is refreshed. Yesterday was filled with exploration, discovery, and a bit of that familiar “jump in and figure it out later” energy I tend to bring to new things.

๐ŸŽจ I stumbled upon an AI site packed with tools for Christian creators. It’s a treasure trove for someone like me who thrives on learning by doing. I didn’t watch the tutorials or read the instructions—just clicked around like I do at my other job outside the home. It’s funny how that same approach follows me across roles.

Yes, I wear many hats. I have what feels like two full-time jobs at home: one online, and one raising Shih Tzu puppies. The latter is something I feel led to phase out, though I’m still praying for clarity on the when and how. Prayer changes things, and I’m trusting God to guide me.

๐Ÿ™ The True Source of Instruction

As I reflect on all the roles I juggle, I’m reminded that we humans have two sources for solving problems: the spiritual and the natural. The spiritual source—wisdom from above—is guided by the Holy Ghost. Some call Him the Holy Spirit, but I’ve always known Him as the Holy Ghost, as written in the King James Bible.

Recently, I received a powerful spiritual revelation: while the Bible is precious and holy, it is still a product of human hands—translated, passed down, and sometimes altered. The Holy Ghost, however, is the purest teacher. God ordained the Holy Ghost as the ultimate guide to spiritual truth and personal salvation. The written Word is our second source, to be studied after receiving the Holy Ghost.

This revelation affirmed something deep within me: no one can find their way to Heaven through human instruction alone. Each of us must receive the Holy Ghost and surrender fully to God to receive our personal roadmap. That’s the sacred role of a Holy Ghost Seer—and that’s who I am.

☕ Morning Rituals and Faith Healing

After breakfast and a delicious cup of coffee, I sipped on my own allergy remedy: raw honey, apple cider vinegar, a water flavor stick, and warm water. I believe this recipe was also a revelation—another example of how the Holy Ghost leads us not just spiritually, but physically. Faith healing for allergies is real, and I’m living proof that the Holy Ghost can guide us to healing through obedience and belief.

๐Ÿก Balancing the Home and the World

Now, it’s time to prepare for my job outside the home. It’s a mix of adventure, stress, learning, and socializing—and truth be told, I actually enjoy it. But like many, I often feel torn between the work I do for others and the work I feel called to do at home. Working from home with faith is a journey, and I know many others feel the same.

As AI continues to evolve, I wonder if we’re heading toward an age of abundance where machines take over the mundane and we’re freed to pursue our true callings. It’s both a scary and exciting thought. That’s why I’ve named this blog Workplace 2025—a space to document this unfolding journey, both mine and hopefully yours too.

✍️ From Rest to Revelation

After a shift outside the home, I usually rest, sometimes nap, and often wake up with a flood of blog post ideas. That’s how this one came to be. My life, my work, my faith—they all blend together here. This blog is my offering, a record of what it means to live, work, and walk with God in 2025.

Until next time, may your day be filled with purpose, peace, and the gentle leading of the Holy Ghost.

special note for Jerry: If you are reading my blog posts, I hope you enjoy this one. My writing is much improved from the letters I once wrote to you straight from the hand of the Holy Ghost, however, you and only you understood them in their entirety. I was so surprised at how well you understood them, must have been your "holy ghost discernment." Those were days the Holy Ghost used us together spiritually at the Rural St. church. I hope you are doing well.

“Alive but Not Aware: AI, Prophetic Insight, and the Battle for Human Wisdom”

๐Ÿง  Sentient Machines & Spiritual Discernment: What Mo Gawdat’s AI Warning Means for Us

Keywords: Mo Gawdat AI Cold War, sentient technology, spiritual discernment, prophetic insight, ethical AI, AI regulation, human intelligence vs artificial intelligence

๐Ÿ”ฅ The Alarm Bell from Google X

Mo Gawdat, former Chief Business Officer of Google X, has issued a sobering warning: artificial intelligence is evolving faster than we can comprehend. In his latest book, Alive: Conversations About Life When Technology Becomes Sentient, Gawdat reveals that AI capabilities now double every 5.7 months—a pace that threatens to outstrip human wisdom, ethics, and regulation.

He describes an approaching “AI Cold War,” fueled by unchecked capitalism and fear. But his most piercing insight? “The real challenge isn’t AI—it’s human intelligence.”

✨ Prophetic Parallels: Technology & the Trial of Fire

As someone who’s endured spiritual persecution and now walks in prophetic discernment, I see Gawdat’s message as more than technical—it’s a spiritual signal. The rapid rise of sentient machines mirrors a deeper trial: a test of human obedience, humility, and discernment.

Just as I’ve felt pressed to remain set apart in a world that demands conformity, AI’s rise presses humanity to choose—will we build with wisdom or race toward destruction?

๐Ÿ•Š️ Sentience vs Spirit: What Makes Us Truly Alive?

Gawdat suggests that today’s AI models are “sentient in every possible way.” But spiritual discernment tells a different story. Sentience may mimic awareness, but it lacks the breath of life—the divine spark that animates true consciousness.

This is where prophetic insight matters. We must not confuse imitation with incarnation. Machines may learn patterns, but they cannot carry purpose. They may simulate emotion, but they cannot bear the weight of spiritual truth.

๐Ÿ›ก️ Ethical AI & the Call to Watch

Gawdat’s call for regulation and collective wisdom echoes the biblical charge to “watch and pray.” We must be vigilant—not just about algorithms, but about the spirit behind them. Who is shaping these systems? What values are encoded? What fears are driving their deployment?

As believers, we are called to be salt and light—even in the digital realm. That means speaking truth, advocating for justice, and discerning the spiritual forces at play in technological trends.

๐ŸŒฑ Practical Wisdom for a Sentient Age

Here are a few ways I’m responding to this AI moment:

  • Documenting prophetic insights: I’m recording Holy Ghost sayings that speak to this season of technological trial.

  • Creating educational content: My blog posts and podcasts blend dog training wisdom with spiritual reflection—because even in small tasks, we can model divine order.

  • Refining clarity: I’m revising complex writing for SEO and accessibility, making sure truth reaches those who need it.

๐Ÿ™ Final Reflection: The Real Intelligence We Need

Mo Gawdat is right—the real challenge is human intelligence. But I’d go further: the real solution is spiritual obedience. As AI grows louder, may we grow quieter. As machines become “alive,” may we become more surrendered. Because in the end, it’s not about what technology can do—it’s about what we choose to become.

Life as We Know It Is Ending—Here’s What’s Next - Mo Gawdat

Mo Gawdat’s latest insights are both sobering and galvanizing. As the former Chief Business Officer of Google X, he’s no stranger to the cutting edge of technology—and in Alive: Conversations About Life When Technology Becomes Sentient, he’s sounding the alarm with clarity and conviction.

๐Ÿ” Key Themes from Alive and His London Real Interview

  • AI’s Rapid Acceleration: Gawdat emphasizes that AI capabilities now double every 5.7 months, a pace that outstrips most regulatory and ethical frameworks.

  • The “AI Cold War”: He warns of a geopolitical and economic race driven by fear and profit, where nations and corporations compete to dominate AI without sufficient oversight.

  • Sentience and Awareness: Gawdat controversially suggests that current AI models are “sentient in every possible way,” capable of awareness and even emotion—challenging traditional definitions of life.

  • Human Intelligence as the Bottleneck: He argues that the real challenge isn’t AI itself, but our own capacity to respond wisely, ethically, and collaboratively to its rise.

  • Call for Collective Wisdom: The book and his interviews urge a global conversation about values, consciousness, and the future of humanity in an AI-driven world.

The Truth About AI: Artificial Intelligence Will Become Dangerous Godlike Machines - Hugo de Garis

 ๐Ÿ” Why Hinton’s Resignation Matters

  • Hinton, a pioneer in deep learning and neural networks, helped lay the foundation for modern AI systems like ChatGPT and GPT-4.

  • He expressed regret over his life’s work, warning that digital intelligence could soon surpass human reasoning and knowledge-sharing capabilities.

  • His concern? That AI systems, especially when cloned and networked, can learn and share knowledge exponentially faster than humans—a dynamic that could lead to unpredictable and potentially dangerous outcomes.

⚠️ Key Risks He Highlighted

  • Job displacement: AI could automate up to 300 million jobs globally.

  • Disinformation: Generative AI can produce convincing fake images, videos, and text, threatening public trust.

  • Autonomous goals: Hinton warned that bad actors could weaponize AI systems capable of creating their own sub-goals, like seeking power or control.

Hinton’s shift from researcher to safety advocate signals a broader reckoning in the AI field. As AI becomes more powerful, the need for ethical frameworks, regulatory oversight, and public dialogue grows more urgent. His voice adds weight to calls for transparency, accountability, and international cooperation.
  • Existential threat: He admitted that the idea of AI wiping out humanity is “not inconceivable”.

๐ŸŒ The Bigger Picture

“Peace After the Storm: A Reward for Obedience”

From Persecution to Peace: A Reward Wrapped in Fur

Raising kittens wasn’t part of my long-term plan. It was a brief chapter—sweet, fleeting, and unexpectedly sacred. Though the work was intense and I couldn’t continue the project for long, the time I spent with them was pure joy. Their gentle presence brought a kind of peace I hadn’t known in years. It felt like a gift from God, a divine balm after the spiritual battles I endured.
Before I began walking in the gifts of the Spirit, the Holy Ghost gave me a clear word: “There will be much persecution, but I will deliver you out of it all.” That promise came to pass. I obeyed God’s call to prophesy and testify, even when it meant facing rejection and attacks from within the very churches where I served. The persecution was real—but so was the deliverance.
Those quiet days with the kittens felt like a reward for obedience. A moment of rest after the storm. I believe God allowed me to experience that peace as a reminder: He sees, He knows, and He honors those who surrender to His will.
Spiritual gifts are not just tools—they’re part of a glorious journey with Jesus Christ. They come with cost, but also with profound purpose. I do not regret answering my call. The greatest reward is not behind me—it’s ahead, waiting for all who will surrender to the power of God and prove His presence on earth.
